After Devprayag, we continue towards the Dhari Devi Temple, a revered shrine dedicated to Goddess Dhari Devi. The temple is situated on the banks of the Alaknanda River and is considered an important spiritual site in Uttarakhand. Dhari Devi is traditionally regarded as the guardian deity of the region, and the temple holds deep religious significance among devotees travelling through the Garhwal Himalayas. The peaceful riverside setting also makes this a special stop during the journey to Chopta.

Tungnath Temple & Chandrashila Summit Trek

The next morning is the highlight of the adventure as we begin the Tungnath and Chandrashila Trek. Tungnath Temple is one of the Panch Kedar temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and is situated at an altitude of approximately 3,680 metres. The trek to Tungnath takes you through beautiful Himalayan landscapes and offers an unforgettable combination of spirituality and adventure.

From Tungnath, we continue towards Chandrashila Peak, located at around 4,000 metres. The final climb is more challenging but incredibly rewarding. From the summit, trekkers can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges, including prominent peaks such as Nanda Devi, Trishul and Chaukhamba on clear days. Reaching the Chandrashila summit is the ultimate highlight of this Chopta Chandrashila Trek.

Deoriatal – A Peaceful Himalayan Lake

After completing the summit experience, our journey continues towards Deoriatal, a beautiful high-altitude lake surrounded by dense forests and majestic Himalayan peaks. The calm waters of Deoriatal, combined with the surrounding mountain scenery, make it a perfect place to relax and capture memorable photographs. The peaceful atmosphere provides a refreshing end to our Himalayan adventure.

Return Journey to Delhi
